Mocha non-truth is a show that claims a certain authenticity on ideas/beliefs, despite thefact that this authenticity may be fake or fabricated by the artist(s). A clear example of this
is Stuart Middleton'scarved wooden bowls; with these works the authenticity lies in the ideaoffunction and potential former use, like sociological museum pieces that explain an objects role in daily life.
Essentially via the means of seduction (beautiful art) the viewer is lead to believe/participate with what they are seeing. The platform this participation from the viewer creates is then an opportunity to tell a story/transmit another reason for all of these objects belonging together.
Curated by Jesse Wine.
